PREP, GRADING, & SUBMISSION
Why should I prep my card?
Preparing a card (known as prepping) is crucial to unlocking its highest potential value. Proper preparation can result in hundreds or even thousands of dollars in increased (or lost) value.
What is the process for prepping cards for grading?
Our grading preparation service includes a thorough inspection, professional cleaning, and secure storage of your cards before submission. We prepare your cards to ensure they are in the best condition to achieve a high grade when sent to top grading companies like PSA, BGS, or SGC.
How long does the grading preparation process take?
The preparation process typically takes 3-5 business days, depending on the number of cards and their condition. We aim to handle your cards with the utmost care and attention to detail. PSA turnaround times average 90-120 calendar days.
What grading companies do you work with?
We work with the most reputable grading companies, including PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), BGS (Beckett Grading Services), and SGC (Sportscard Guaranty Corporation).
Do you offer guarantees on the grades my cards will receive?
While we do our best to prepare your cards for the highest possible grade, the final grade is determined by the grading company. We cannot guarantee specific grades, but our preparation services are designed to maximize your card’s potential.

How do I know the signatures are authentic?
We use only 100% trusted and vetted sources to ensure your autographs are always legit – no matter the type of signing.
How do you obtain the athlete’s autographs?
Signatures are obtained through a multitude of channels; including Private, Public and Mail-In Signings. Our goal is to provide you with access to all forms – as each athletes tendencies and availabilities differ.

What happens if my item gets damaged while in your possession?
We follow strict standards when it comes to protecting our clients’ items and treat every piece as if it were our own. Should any damage occur while the item is in our care, you will be fully reimbursed—no questions asked.
How do you ship purchased cards?
We ship all cards securely using protective packaging to ensure they arrive in the same condition as when they left our hands. We also offer tracking and insurance for added peace of mind.
What happens if I don’t like the signature received on my card?
At HOFSR, we’re collectors at heart! While we can’t control how or where an athlete signs a piece, your satisfaction is our priority. If you’re unhappy with your order for any reason, please contact us, and we’ll make it right.
